The State of the Union is in Disarray.

Tonight is the State of the Union. 45 will likely seek to take credit for what is right and in traditional fashion—blame others for what is not going well. So setting aside yet another scandal dealing with his fondness for women i.e. the Stormy-Gate; lets just look at what matters more in terms of the economy, healthcare, defense.

The economy is doing well no thanks to 45 but to the effort of President Obama’s use of the stimulus and monetary policy to pull us out of the worst financial disaster since the 1930s Depression. A disaster Bush put us in. And while the stock market is at all time highs—as it was under President Obama, wages are still flat. Don’t let that little stunt that corporations have played—giving bonuses or raising wages a buck here and there fool you. The tax bill serves only the corporate masters—the 1 percenters by putting more money in their already full pockets. Disgraceful! If you are on the Right and don’t agree with this assessment then tell us how the economy has improved for you. I’d like to know.

Healthcare was on the positive as President Obama left office with 20 million more having healthcare that did not previously. The dig on the mandate, which was slid into the tax bill will throw off approximately 13 million Americas from their healthcare. Expect a ripple effect of negative to include higher costs.

We are globally interconnected and now we see ourselves more alone with Russia and China filling the void.  How is that good?

I could go on but you get the message.  TPL
